Every public website serves two plain-text files for AI tools: /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt. They follow the llmstxt.org format and list the site's public content with a short description for each link.
What the files contain
The files are built from your published content, so you do not edit them directly. /llms.txt has these parts, in this order:
The site name as the title.
A one-line summary under the title, taken from the SEO description of the homepage entry. The summary is left out when that description is empty.
Contact details, such as address, phone number, email and social links.
Link sections for Pages, Venues, Events, Offers, Occasions, Blog and Traders. Empty sections are left out.
An Optional section that links to `sitemap.xml` and `llms-full.txt`.
/llms-full.txt has the same sections with more detail. It adds dates and times for events, validity and available days for offers, and the address and opening times for a venue.
/llms.txt lists events that start within the next 60 days. /llms-full.txt lists every event.
Set the description for a link
Each link shows a description after the title. The description comes from the entry's SEO settings, in this order:
The LLM description field.
The SEO description, if the LLM description is empty.
Both fields accept dynamic tags, and the file shows the resolved text on a single line. Use the LLM description when you want AI tools to read something different from the meta description that search engines show. The field is in the SEO section of the entry editor and its help text reads "Used in llms.txt. Falls back to the SEO description when empty."
Traders have the same two SEO fields, so their links get a description too.
Pages and events left out
Entries that are hidden in their SEO settings do not appear in either file. This is the same rule sitemap.xml follows, so thank-you and utility pages that you hide from search are hidden from AI tools as well.
Sites with several venues
A site with more than one venue keeps its brand-level content in /llms.txt. The Venues section links to one file per venue, at /{venues page}/{venue}/llms.txt and /{venues page}/{venue}/llms-full.txt. Each venue file holds that venue's pages, posts, events, offers and occasions.
A site with one venue has a single set of files and no per-venue links.
When changes show up
The files refresh about every hour, so a saved change can take up to an hour to appear. Saving content also refreshes the matching file.
If a page or event is missing from the file, check that it is published and that it is not hidden in its SEO settings.
