The SEO tab of the entry editor holds the search and sharing settings for an entry. The Advanced options section in that tab lets you set a canonical URL, which tells search engines which address is the main one for the page.
Where to find it
On pages and occasions, SEO is its own tab in the entry editor, placed after Presentation. The tab shows the SEO title, description, meta image and a toggle to hide the entry. Its error count and unsaved-change dot appear on the SEO item in the editor's side navigation.
Below those fields sits a collapsed section called Advanced options. Open it to reach two fields:
LLM description: the summary used for llms.txt. It moved here from the main SEO form and keeps its stored value.Canonical URL: an optional override for the page's canonical tag.
How the canonical URL works
Leave Canonical URL empty and the site keeps the canonical address it already uses for that page. Fill it in and the site uses your value as the canonical tag instead.
The value must be a full address that starts with http:// or https://, for example https://www.example.com/page. A relative path like /lunch is rejected.
The override works on every public content type that uses the SEO field, for both brand and place pages. That covers pages, blog posts, events, menus, offers and occasions, plus brand and place home pages.
If a canonical URL is invalid, saving fails and the
Advanced optionssection opens by itself so you can see the field with the error.
