My Place menus can be built manually or, where available for the venue, generated from an image or PDF.
Create a menu
Open the venue editor, choose Menus and select the action to add a menu.
Give the menu a clear customer-facing name such as “Food”, “Drinks” or “Sunday menu”.
Add more than one menu
Create separate menus when customers need distinct choices, such as food, drinks, Sunday, children's or seasonal menus. Use clear names and check their order in the public preview.
Update or hide an old menu instead of leaving two conflicting versions online. If the editor does not offer another-menu action for your venue, contact support with the venue name and the menus you need.
Import from an image or PDF
If the venue offers AI menu import, upload a clear and current file. Treat the generated menu as a draft:
- Check every item name and description
- Check every price
- Restore any missing sections
- Remove scanning artefacts
- Confirm dietary and allergen information
AI import speeds up data entry but does not replace a human accuracy check.
Show a PDF-only menu
A PDF upload may be used as the source for an editable menu, but it does not necessarily publish the original PDF layout as the customer-facing menu.
If the exact designed PDF must be shown or downloaded, check whether the editor provides a PDF or file-link option for that venue. When it does not, contact support with the venue, the current PDF and the intended customer experience. Do not repeatedly import the same file to try to force a PDF-only layout.
Build or edit manually
Create sections, add menu items and arrange them in the order customers should read them. Keep naming and price formatting consistent.
When a printed menu changes, update the website promptly rather than leaving conflicting versions online.
Dietary information
Use the dietary and allergen controls supplied by the editor. Only select a label when the venue has verified it for that item.
Do not use the website as the sole source of allergen advice. Keep the venue's required allergen process and customer notice in place.
Verify the menu
Save every menu and open the public preview. Check the menu names, order, section order, prices, dietary labels, links or downloads, and mobile readability.
