A custom domain gives the venue its own public web address.
Before you begin
Confirm that:
The venue owns or controls the domain
The domain is spelled correctly
The venue's current plan supports a custom domain
You can access the domain provider's DNS settings
Use the DNS values shown inside My Place. Do not rely on an old screenshot or copy records from another venue because the required records can change.
Add the domain in My Place
Open the venue editor, select settings and open the domain section. Enter the domain without a page path.
Follow the verification steps shown for that venue.
Update DNS with the domain provider
Sign in to the service where the domain's DNS is managed. Add or update only the records requested by My Place.
Before replacing an existing record, confirm whether it is used by the current website or another service. DNS changes can interrupt an existing site when applied to the wrong domain or host.
Do not alter email records such as MX, SPF, DKIM or DMARC unless the instructions explicitly require it.
Wait for verification
DNS changes can take time to propagate. Return to the domain section and use the available verification or refresh action.
The connection is complete only when My Place reports the domain as connected and the website loads over HTTPS.
Troubleshooting
If verification fails, send support:
The venue name
The custom domain
The provider managing DNS
A screenshot of the relevant DNS records
The status shown inside My Place
Do not send the domain-provider password or an authentication code.
